In Uttar Pradesh, police have arrested all six accused involved in the alleged rape and murder of two sisters in the Lakhimpur district.
Five accused named in FIR were arrested yesterday, September 14, while one accused has been arrested by police this morning in an encounter. Lakhimpur District Magistrate said that postmortem of the victims is being conducted.
Meanwhile, UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that strict action will be taken in the case. He added that the government is with the victim’s family saying issueless opposition should not do politics on such issues.
