Prime Minister Narendra Modi says J&K and Ladakh are moving on the path of development. He was addressing his first election rally at Ballabgarh in Haryana today.

The prime minister again targeted the Opposition on the issue of abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. He asserted that India is now taking big decisions like on Article 370 which were unthinkable earlier. Mr Modi said the massive mandate given by the people gave him the strength to take the step.

He challenged the Congress to show courage and declare in their manifesto that they will restore Article 370 and 35A if voted to power. He also slammed Congress for not supporting the triple talaq bill. On Opposition’s allegations on Rafale aircraft deal, he said his government will not compromise with the national security.

The Prime Minister said some people raised questions over the leadership in Haryana five years ago. He said now, Manohar Lal is the captain of Haryana and he is working tirelessly with his capable team to take the state forward. He said, on the other hand, Opposition parties are scattered into different groups. He said the divided leadership of Congress could not protect the interests of Haryana.
