Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned home this morning after concluding his visit to Davos, Switzerland. During the visit, the Prime Minister delivered a keynote address at the plenary session of the 48th annual meeting of World Economic Forum. Speaking in Hindi at the session, Mr Modi yesterday pitched India at the forum saying that it is investment-friendly and welcomes FDI in all sectors.
Mr. Modi also outlined climate change, terrorism and protectionism as three global threats. The Prime Minister said, terrorism is dangerous, but what is equally dangerous is artificial distinction made between good and bad terrorists.
After the speech, Mr Modi met his Canadian counterpart, Justin Trudeau. Both leaders discussed issues of mutual interest and reiterated their commitment to stand firm in combating terrorism.
The Prime Minister also held a meeting with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and discussed steps to deepen the bilateral relationship.
Before winding up his visit, Mr Modi also interacted with top global CEOs at the International Business Council event. He narrated India’s growth story and the opportunities presented by the country for international players. Our correspondent covering the Prime Minister’s visit has filed this report :
