Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated India’s full support to Afghanistan through humanitarian and development assistance in their efforts to build a peaceful, united, democratic and prosperous nation.
Mr Modi conveyed this while speaking to Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani who called on him at his residence today. He said, India attaches the highest priority to its ties with Afghanistan.
Mr Modi also reiterated India’s strong support to Afghanistan in fight against terrorism imposed on that country and its people.
During the interaction, Mr Rabbani briefed the Prime Minister on the situation in Afghanistan. Both leaders agreed that the Afghan peace process has to be Afghan-led, Afghan-owned and Afghan-controlled.
