President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has arrived in New Delhi this evening. This is his third official visit to India since assuming office as President of the UAE, and his fifth visit to India over the past decade. On his arrival at the airport, he was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The President of the United Arab Emirates is scheduled to meet Mr Modi at his residence in New Delhi.
His was received at Palam Air Base by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with a number of senior officials.
Accompanying Him on the visit is a delegation that includes Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to UAE President; several ministers, and top officials.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for the two leaders to further advance the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. The visit provides an opportunity for the two leaders to chart new frontiers for the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. It will also enable an exchange of views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, where India and the UAE share a high degree of convergence.
India and UAE sign agreements to boost cooperation in defence, space and investment sectors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held delegation-level talks with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at his official residence in New Delhi. Briefing the media about the outcomes of the meeting, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that agreements were signed in the field of strategic defence partnership, joint initiatives on space infrastructure development and its commercialisation, and the UAE’s participation in the development of a special investment region in Dholera, Gujarat.
