Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart K P Sharma Oli today jointly inaugurated the Nepal Bharat Maitri Dharmashala at the Pashupatinath temple complex in Kathmandu.
The 400 bed dharamshala has been funded by India and was handed over to Pashupati Area Development Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Modi stressed the need for more people to people contact of the two countries for strengthening bilateral relationship. He said the path shown by Lord Buddha is important to fight the terrorism and extremism in today’s world.

He said his government is working with the motto of Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas in India and the role of people of Nepal is also important in this regard.
Mr. Modi said the Dharmshala is the symbol of Indo-Nepal friendship and asserted that India will continue its support for the development of neighbouring country.
Earlier, today Prime Minister met his Nepalese counterpart K.P. Sharma Oli on the sidelines of 4th BIMSTEC Summit. The two Prime Ministers held a detailed review on all aspects of bilateral relationship.
