Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the people of Himachal Pradesh have got huge benefits from the double engine government as the pace of development in the state has accelerated in every sphere. He was addressing a public meeting at Paddal Maidan in Mandi district on the completion of four years of the BJP Government. He said, if the same party is in power at the Centre and in the State, the speed of development projects and implementation of different welfare schemes got momentum.

While Congratulating Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on the Fourth Anniversary of his government, Mr. Modi said that the huge gathering at this ground despite cold weather shows that the people of the state are satisfied with four years’ achievements of the State Government.

Earlier, the Prime Minister also dedicated and laid foundation stones of development projects worth 11,581 crore rupees. These include the foundation stone for the Dhaulasiddh Hydropower, Luhri Phase-I Hydroelectric project and Renukaji Dam projects, while the Sawra Kuddu Hydroelectric Project was inaugurated.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Himachal Government for eliciting the people’s cooperation in successful completion of four years of service and achievement. He said that the Central and State Governments have taken several historic steps towards raising the standard of living of the people. Mr Modi said that a large area would benefit from the construction of the Sri Renukaji Dam Project on the Giri River and a part of the income from the project would be spent on its development.

Emphasizing on a nationwide campaign against single-use plastic, the Prime Minister called for a joint effort to keep the environment clean. He Congratulated the State Government on achieving 100 per cent target of double dose of COVID vaccine in Himachal.

On this occasion, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a lot to Himachal Pradesh. He said that AIIMS, PGI and many hospitals and educational institutes have been established in the state under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, MPs Suresh Kashyap, Indu Goswami, Kishan Kapoor, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and many other dignitaries along with party officials and workers were present on the occasion.
