PM Modi congratulates ISRO on historic 100th launch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the historic 100th launch. In a social media post, Mr. Modi said, this incredible milestone illustrates the vision, dedication and commitment of nations’ scientists and engineers. He said, that with the private sector joining hands, the country’s space journey will continue to attain new heights.

Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh termed ISRO’s 100th launch of the GSLV-F15 from Sriharikota as a quantum leap in the country’s space journey. Talking to the media following ISRO’s remarkable feat, Dr. Singh underlined that the country’s space sector has undergone unprecedented expansion in terms of both infrastructure and investment. He also highlighted the contributions of early pioneers like Vikram Sarabhai and Satish Dhawan in laying the foundation for the country’s space sector. Dr Singh further asserted that 90 percent of foreign satellite launches are being carried out through ISRO. He also informed that the space economy, currently valued at 8 billion dollars, is projected to reach 44 billion dollars in the next decade.
