Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Members of his Council of Ministers to reach out to people to create awareness about the schemes and initiatives launched by the NDA government during the past two years.
Chairing a meeting of the Council of Ministers, Mr Modi asked every Minister should be aware of the initiatives being taken by various departments of the government. He also asked the Ministers to visit at least 200 places each after the Budget session of Parliament to tell people about initiative of the government.
Apart from this ‘Sampark and Samvad’ or ‘contact and communication’ initiative, Mr Modi’s also stressed the need to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the grassroot level.
Prime Minister also emphasized the need for accelerating the rural electrification programme. The meeting also reviewed all the decisions taken by the Union Cabinet and their impact in nearly last last two years.
The Prime Minister told the Council of Ministers that the government is doing good work in a transparent and honest manner.
