India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi​ today arrived in Riyadh from Washington on a two-day state visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the last leg of his three-nation tour to Belgium and USA, he landed at Royal Military Airport of Riyadh, the capital city of Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Saturday afternoon. On his arrival, Prime Minister was received by governor of Riyadh, Faisal Bin Bandar Al- Saud.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss Sunday a wide range of bilateral, regional and global issues, including terrorism, security cooperation and commercial ties on Sunday.

“India is a historic partner for our country and we hold a common outlook on life, including many traditions and values,” said Abdullateef Al-Othman, governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority.

Prime Minister will visit historical Masmak Fortress, a 1865 monument now turned into a museum.

Masmak Fort was the scene of Ibn Saud’s daring 1902 raid on Al- Rashid garrison to regain the control of Riyadh. Afterwards he will meet the persons of Indian community. Prime Minister will also visit the L&T workers residential complex at Dahiat Namar at Riyadh.

The L&T, with partnership of Italian and Saudi companies, is constructing a 42 km long segment of Line-3 of Riyadh Metro.
