I Appeal to My Sisters & Brothers to Maintain Peace, Says PM Modi; BJP Leader Kapil Mishra’s ‘Hate’ Speech Played in HC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appealed the people od of Delhi for calm and said agencies were working on the ground “to ensure peace and normalcy”.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said: “Peace and harmony are central to our ethos. I appeal to my sisters and brothers of Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood at all times. It is important that there is calm and normalcy is restored at the earliest. Had an extensive review on the situation prevailing in various parts of Delhi. Police and other agencies are working on the ground to ensure peace and normalcy.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks came on a day when the Delhi High Court played BJP leader Kapil Mishra’s alleged hate speech in Northeast Delhi. The ensuing violence has killed 20 people, including a cop.
