Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked BJP parliamentarians not to be defensive on the issue of demonitisation as people of the “the country is with the government”.
Ruling NDA allies today hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking ‘bold decision’ to demonetise high value notes during the NDA meeting in New Delhi all ally partners unequivocally supported the government on demonetisation.
Talking to media after the meeting which was convened to chalk out strategy for the Winter Session of Parliament beginning Wednesday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu said the mood of the nation is in favour of move.
He rejected opposition demand for roll back saying there is no question of rethink. He took a dig at the opposition adding that people will get to know in Parliament that who are siding with black money hoarders.
Parliamentary Affiars Minister Ananth Kumar said the government will address nation through Parliament.
LJP leader and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan described the demonetisation as surgical strike against black money. Union Minister and RLSP leader Upendra Kushwaha, Akali Dal leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Anandrao Adsul of Shiv Sena as well as TDP leader also lauded the government over the issue.
