PATNA: (AMN) Over 50 percent electorates have exercised their right of franchise till noon in the 2nd phase of Bihar assembly polls. Long queues of voters were seen at several booths as large number of voters turned up to cast their votes. Elections are going on in 45 constituencies in this phase.

Tight security arrangements are in place to ensure free and fair polls. Voting is taking place in 45constituencies spread over six districts of Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Darbhanga and Samastipur.

The polling will continue till 5 pm except five constituencies of Minapur, Paru, Sahebganj, Sheohar and Belsand where it will end at 3 pm. Out of over 10 thousand polling booths, 3,700 have been declared super sensitive. Over 98 lakh electorates will decide the fate of 623 candidates including 46 women in this phase.
