When the Lok Sabha met at 2 pm, the Presiding Officer allowed DMK, MP T.R. Baalu to make brief remarks on the resettlement of Tamils in Sri Lanka. This was strongly objected by the BJP and AIADMK who rushed to the well of the House. This forced the adjournment of the House for the third time. At noon similar scenes were witnessed when Mr. Baalu stood up to make his remarks. Earlier, when the House met for the day, the Opposition demanded suspension of question hour to take up the issue of corruption and situation in the wake of Anna Hazare’s fast for discussion. There were noisy scenes which led to the adjournment of the House.

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day after the Opposition wanted a statement from the Prime Minister on the developing situation across the country. Some of the members trooped into the well, forcing the Presiding Officer to adjourn the House finally for the day. Earlier, the House witnessed two adjournments. When the House met for the day, the opposition demanded suspension of question hour to take up the discussion on corruption. Later similar scenes were witnessed after the House met at noon.
