A Parliamentary panel has expressed displeasure over tardy execution of bridge works by the Railways.
The Public Accounts Committee, headed by Mallikarjun Kharge, has suggested to develop a time-bound strategic measurement system for fast tracking sanctions of rehabilitation and reconstruction of bridges for safety of passengers as well as train services on the bridges.
The panel had asked the Railway Board to develop a strategic management system for fast tracking sanction of rehabilitation and reconstruction of bridges with time frame based on priority for safety.
