More than 120 people have been killed in multiple shootings in the France capital, Paris, and explosions outside the national stadium – Stade de France. unconfirmed reports suggest toll have crossed 200. French media say, at least 15 people have been killed near the Bataclan arts centre, where up to 60 people are reportedly being held hostage.

Some spectators fled the venue after police stormed it. Reports suggested gunmen shot many of them there. President Francois Hollande has declared a State of Emergency.

He has ordered all France’s borders closed. Paris authorities have asked people to stay indoors. Three explosions were reported outside a bar near the Stade de France. France were hosting Germany in a friendly match. It has now ended. Elsewhere, at least one man opened fire at a restaurant in the 11th district of the city, causing several casualties.

Police have sealed off the area. According to Media, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The attacks come weeks before global leaders gather in Paris for talks on an UN-sponsored conference on climate change issues.

Eighty people were reported killed after gunmen burst into the Bataclan concert hall and took dozens hostage.

The siege ended when security forces stormed the building.

People were shot dead at bars and restaurants at five other sites in Paris. Eight attackers are reported to have been killed.

Police believed all of the gunmen were dead but it was unclear if any accomplices were still on the run after the string of near-simultaneous attacks.
