Today is the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This day is being observed as Parakram Diwas. The people of West Bengal are remembering the legendary freedom fighter with great respect and devotion.
Various programmes have been organised across West Bengal on this occasion. A special programme will commence at the front steps of Victoria Memorial in Kolkata in the evening, which will be attended by the Vice President of India, C P Radhakrishnan. Governor Dr C V Ananda Bose will also grace the occasion. Light and sound show depicting Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the freedom struggle will be held, preceded by army band performance and a cultural programme.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid her respect to Netaji on his birth anniversary.
