Pakistani forces continue to violate ceasfire along Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. In the latest Pakistani troops targeted Pallanwala sector, violating the ceasefire for the 6th time in the past 36 hours by shelling and firing on Indian posts and civilian areas along the LoC in Jammu and Rajouri districts. The Indian troops gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked firing.
Days after India conducted surgical strikes against terror launch pads on the LoC, Pakistan continues with its nefarious activities. Cases of ceasefire violation are showing no signs of abating.
On Tuesday morning Pak armymen fired indiscriminately without provocation at 3 places from across the border In Rajouri district of Naushera sector. Indian forces retaliated in good measure.
Later in the afternoon Pak Rangers opened fire in Pallanwala of Jammu. Indian forces once again gave a befitting reply.
On Monday, firing along the LoC from the Pakistani side in Poonch injured 5 civilians including 3 women. The continuous firing has led to the evacuation of villages in Akhnoor, Pallanwala and Chamba sectors. Authorities have set up relief camps for the evacuees.
Elsewhere, on the Punjab border an empty Pakistani boat was recovered from the Ravi river in Pathankot. BSF recovered the boat. According to the Security Force it had drifted into Indian waters along the IB and posed no danger.
The discovery of the boat comes at a time when vigil has been tightened at all border posts due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
Monday saw heavy firing by Pakistan on a BSF outpost in Gurdaspur. The infiltration was succesfully foiled later. India’s blistering reply to the URI attack seems to have had little effect on Pak’s sinister intentions. Its actions clearly imply the extent of its frustration. but whatever be Pakistan’s tactics, Indian forces are retaliating in equal measure .
