In yet another incident of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani forces resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling and firing on the Indian positions in Poonch district on Monday evening.
Defence sources said, Pakistani troops started unprovoked mortar shelling and firing on some Indian forward posts in Balakot sector around 7 PM.
The army troops guarding the border line gave a befitting reply to the firing and the exchange of fire lasted for an hour.
There is no report of any casualty or injury to the Indian side.
