The Phase-9 of Vande Bharat Mission has been made operational from 1st of this month and 1,495 international flights have been scheduled which will be operated from 24 countries.
Ministry of External Affairs Spokesman Anurag Srivastava today said, it will facilitate return of 2.8 lakh people. He said, as of Wednesday, 261 of these flights have been operated and facilitated return of 49 thousand people from 19 countries. The Spokesman said, the World’s largest repatriation exercise Vande Bharat Mission have been brought back more than 44.7 lakh people since May 2020.
