Twelve opposition and independent members of Goa assembly today moved a no-confidence move against the BJP led government headed by chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.

Opposition leader Pratapsing Rane blamed the Speaker as total failure while speaking to media after submitting the motion claiming that the opposition members were unable to function during the Assembly Session.

Independent legislator Vijai Sardesai claimed that several questions tabled by the Opposition members were converted from starred to unstarred category and were not taken up for discussion.

BJP has 21 MLAs in the 40 seat assembly and in addition it has the support of MG Party and some members of Goa Vikas Party. Congress MLA Mavin Gudinho and Goa Vikas party member Citan Silva did not sign the motion.
