The arrested person Vinod Asrani alias Vinod Chembur is a builder and said to be close to Chhota Rajan.
Vinod Asrani was produced before the magistrate court here and has been remanded to police custody till Thursday. According to initial reports, the person has allegedly facilitated the murder by providing cash to the shooters and others associated with the crime.
He is said to have acted on the instruction of underworld gangster Chotta Rajan. Police sources said that Vinod had called J Dey to a suburban hotel on the pretext of a meeting and had also simultaneously called the shooters to help them to identify the target.
