While none of the 30 districts of the state is immune to the infection, it is Khordha district which has been topping the state’s COVID-19 tally since long.

The district reported a high of 876 cases on Wednesday, with the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation area within its jurisdiction contributing as many as 362 cases.

As of now, the capital city alone owns up more than 60% of the cumulative caseload of the district which has crossed 28,000.

Second in line of COVID-19 fire is Cuttack which reported 374 cases on Wednesday.

Worrying over the daily inflation of infection in the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Commissionerate area, the state chief minister has asked the Director General of Police to ensure strict compliance of COVID-19 containment measures in the twin cities.
