Pramila Mallick said here that she had resigned on her own on moral grounds. She also blamed some BJD party leaders of hatching a ‘political conspiracy’ against her. The Odisha Chief Minister has forwarded her resignation to Governor Bhandare for acceptance. He has also directed filing of chargesheet against the Collector of Deogarh and a former Collector of Mayurbhanj district and transfer of the Collector of Balasore district. The Opposition, Congress and BJP have asked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to take responsibility for the scam and tender his resignation.
