BHUBNESHWAR: The Odisha Legilsative Assembly witnessed very unruly scenes Tuesday with opposition Congress MLAs climbing the Speaker’s podium during the question hour. Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat had to adjourn the house four times, and finally adjouned the house till Wednesday.
Pandomonium prevailed in Odisha Legislative Assembly today as opposition Congress members climbed on Speaker’s podium during the question hour. Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat was forced to adjourn the house when a Congress MLA jumped to Speaker’s table and slept on it. The opposition Congress has been stalling the house since more than a week demanding resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the land acquisition by his government for Vedanta University at Puri-Konar marine drive following the Odisha High Court terming the process as ‘illegal’ and ‘malafide’.
