Domestic benchmark equity indices displayed a positive momentum on Friday. Both the indices ended with gains of over 0.9 percent, supported by rally in blue-chip stocks. The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange also logged gains.

The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 759 points to close at 79,803, and the NSE Nifty50 rose 217 points to settle at 24,131. In the Forex market, the rupee today ended unchanged at 84 rupees and 49 paise against the US dollar.In the Indian Bullion Market, 24 Karat Gold was trading up at  76,700 rupees for 10 Grams while Silver 999 Fine, was also trading up at 89,790 rupees per kilogram. Brent Crude was trading at 72 dollars and 91 cents per barrel, and WTI Crude was trading at 68 dollars and 65 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
