The Centre has handed over to National Investigation Agency (NIA) the probe into the killing of armymen by militants in Manipur. Official sources confirmed in New Delhi.
Insurgents using rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons ambushed a military convoy on Thursday killing 18 personnel in the worst such attack in recent years. The Army personnel team was on a road opening patrol as part of its daily routine when it was attacked.
