NIA officials produced Imran Malik alias Imran Khan and his brother Mohd. Nasir Khan alias Nasir Malik both accused in the Bihar Darbhanga blast case in Nampally Court in Hyderabad yesterday.

Later, they were moved to Patna on a transit warrant. It is likely that NIA officials will produce the duo in NIA Court. Both accused will be taken into custody and questioned for further investigation.

Both brothers originally hailing from Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh and residing in Mallepalli, Hyderabad were arrested by the NIA on Wednesday.

The NIA investigations revealed that Nasir Khan had visited Pakistan in 2012 and had received training from handlers of Lashkar-e-Taiba in fabrication of IED from locally available chemicals. One of the two alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Hyderabad for June 17 blast at Darbhanga Railway Station in Bihar had visited Pakistan and received training. The parcel was booked at Secunderabad and had arrived Secunderabad-Darbhanga Express.

The siblings fabricated and incendiary IED and packed it in a parcel of cloth and booked the same in the long-distance train from Secunderabad to Darbhanga. During enquiries by NIA officials, it has come to notice that there are about 1200 garment shops in the Mallepalli area.
