National Investigation Agency (NIA) today arrested Noor-Ul- Haque in connection with Burdwan blast case. The Deputy Inspector General of NIA, Anurag Tankha told media that he was arrested near Howrah Station this afternoon. Haque was involved in collection of funds for the terror outfit Jamaat-Ul- Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) and trained member of the outfit.

He is a resident of Bakshipur of Murshidabad district in West Bengal and carried a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head. With this arrest the number of people nabbed in the Burdwan blast case has gone up to 21. Two persons ware killed in a blast at Kharagarh in Burdwan Distrist on 2nd of October last year. Both of them were suspected to have terror links. NIA took over the probe on the incident after the international link behind the blast was surfaced.
