A team of National Human Rights Commission today examined the bodies of Four Disha accused who were killed in an encounter on Friday.

The team visited Mahabubnagar government hospital along with a forensic team and examined the bodies this afternoon. Earlier, the team visited Chatanpally, where the four accused in Veterinary Doctor’s rape and murder case were encountered.

The team also spoke to villagers to gather information over the encounter. The NHRC has sue-motu taken cognizance of the encounter and sent a team to inquire into it.

It may be recalled that all the four accused in Disha case were killed in an encounter at Chatanpally when they were trying to escape after attacking police on Friday morning.

Meanwhile, over a petition, the Telangana high court also directed the state government to submit the video footage of the autopsy of the accused and keep the bodies preserved till 6 pm on Monday.

UP govt announces financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to family of rape victim

Uttar Pradesh government has announced a financial assistance of 25 lakh rupees to the family of rape victim in Unnao case who succumbed to the burn injuries last night.

The announcement came after the visit of state minister Swami Prasad Maurya to the house of the victim.

Body of the rape victim is being transported to her home in Hindu Kheda area of the district.

Meanwhile workers of opposition parties protested at various places in the state against the incident. BSP President Mayawati met the Governor of state Anandiben Patel.
