Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the new policies are being framed with a focus on youth empowerment, placing young people at the center of nation-building. Addressing the Veer Baal Diwas programme here today, Mr Modi said, Gen Z and Gen Alpha will lead the country towards the goal of becoming a developed nation.
He emphasized that youth remain at the core of every initiatives taken by the government in the various fields including space, sports, fintech and manufacturing. Prime Minister highlighted that efforts are being made to connect youth and provide them opportunities with the development of leadership skills under the initiative Mera Yuva Bharat. He underlined that new opportunities are opening for youth in every sector.
Prime Minister Modi said that youth are growing up in a time of greater opportunities than ever before. Mr Modi said that the government is committed to providing better chances to harness their talent, confidence, and leadership. He stressed that strong foundations for a developed India are being laid through significant reforms in the education policy. Prime Minister explained that the new National Education Policy focuses on modern learning methods of the 21st century, emphasizing practical learning, and developing problem-solving skills.
Prime Minister Modi said, the country is remembering the exemplary courage and sacrifice of the Sahibzades Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji today. He said, the Sahibzades stood like a rock against the cruelty of Mughals, shaking religious fundamentalism and terror. Mr Modi said, over the past four years, the Veer Bal Diwas has carried the inspirations and sacrifices of the Sahibzadas to the younger generation. Prime Minister said, the courage and ideals of Mata Gujri Ji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the four Sahibzades continue to give strength to every Indian.
On the occasion, Modi interacted with the 20 awardees of Rashtriya Bal Puraskar. The awards have been conferred in the fields of bravery, innovation, science and technology, sports and arts. During the candid interaction, the Prime Minister heard the life stories of the children.
Speaking on the occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi urged the children to imbibe the ideology of Nation First as the guiding mantra in their lives. She said that with the right opportunities and proper guidance, country’s children can turn even the impossible into reality. She added that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the dream of a Viksit Bharat is taking shape and the citizens of the country are actively participating in the journey of nation-building.
