The President of Nepal Ram Chandra Paudel has congratulated the coach, cricket officials, and Nepali cricketers for qualifying for the Asia Cup for the first time. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ too congratulated the Nepali cricket team for winning the title of ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
At the direction of PM, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Purna Bahadur Khadka were there at Kirtipur-based TU Cricket Ground during the final match between Nepal and the UAE for the motivation of Nepali cricketers.
With this, Nepal has been qualified to play in the Asia Cup taking place in the coming September. In the final match held today, Nepal defeated the UAE by 7 wickets.
