Thousands of people in Nepal today paid tributes to the victims of the devastating earthquake of 2015.
It was on this day that the 7.6 magnitude quake shook Nepal, killing around 9,000 people. More than 21,000 were injured. A number of programmes were organised in various parts of the country to pay homage to the victims of the deadliest quake of the country.

A prayer meeting was held at the ruins of famous Dharahara tower in Kathmandu. Hundreds of people, including Prime Minister K.P.Sharma Oli, visited the world heritage site and paid tributes to the victims.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari also expressed heartfelt condolences to the people who lost their valuable lives in the disaster.
