An amount of 39 crore 18 lakh 78 thousand 795 has been seized by various enforcement agencies in Nagaland, both central and state, from the date of announcement of General Election to the State Legislative Assembly to February 14th.
This was informed by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland. The seizures made include total cash of 3 crore 25 lakh 37 thousand 365 rupees while 40925 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth 4 crore 41 Lakh 49 Thousand 700 rupees.
In addition, the enforcement agencies also seized over three kilograms of drugs and narcotics worth 27 crore 78 lakh 905 rupees. The other seized materials included freebies or other items worth 3 crore 73 lakh 89 thousand 160 rupees, and precious metal comprising silver worth 1,665 rupees.
