NEW DELHI: Leading Muslim organizations have condemned the blast in the holy town of Varanasi’s and asked the government to investigate the theory of Indian Mujahdeen’s email impartially. They described the act as a conspiracy to create fissures between the Hindus and Muslims. They also see it as a plot to divert attention from the ongoing probe against the Hindutva activists nabbed by the security agencies in different blasts cases.

An innocent girl child was killed and over 30 injured in the explosion and the stampeded that followed the blast.

They welcomed the home minister P Chidambaram announcement that the e-mail attributed to so-called ‘Indian Mujahideen’ will be investigated with the help of IT experts in order to unearth truth about it.

Muslim bodies have also come down heavily on a section of media which are trying to portray Muslim’s involvement in the blast even before the investigation begins.

They have cautioned the government not to harass any innocent persons as happened earlier and the security agencies should nab real culprits.

“What happened after the Ajmer, the Makkah masjid and other blast every body known? He said it seemed to be deep-rooted conspiracy to harm the secular fabric of the country”, said Dr Manzor Aalam of All India Milli Council.  He asked the government to investigate the incident thoroughly and impartially.

The Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmad Bukhari also said that by propagating the name of Indian Mujahideen in the blast the needle of suspicion has been turned toward Muslims. In a statement he said that anybody can send an email in the name of IM. ‘the first email in the name of IM has come from Khalsa college Mumbai’ he recalled.

The terror e-mail sent to media houses after the blast, with the name of Indian Mujahideen  said that  ‘the explosion was avenge to the 1992 demolition of Ayodhya’s Babri and it will haunt your nation of world’s ‘greatest democracy’ until Muslims are paid back justly and fairly for the loss of their beloved Babri Masjid, the precious lives of their near and dear ones, their pride, dignity and self-respect."

Mumbai ATS traced the server from Mansarovar apartment in Navi Mumbai and detained two brothers Akhil and Nikhil for the interrogation. However, police released the both brothers after investigation as their wi-fi connection hacked to send the e-mail. Just after the blast Mumbai ATC traced the airtel server, which belongs to Mansarovar apartment. ATS has seized the wi-fi connection and laptop from the duo and interrogation is on.
