The Education department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation today said that physical classes of standard 1st to 9th and 11th will be suspended from tomorrow till 31st of this month. The decision to suspend the physical classes of all mediums and standards except 10th and 12th is being taken in the view of surge in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai civic jurisdiction.
In Thane district too, except 10th and 12th standard, physical classes of all other standards will be suspended from tomorrow till 31st of this month.
Meanwhile, Dharavi, one of the largest slum in the country today reported 41 fresh cases of COVID-19. The upward tick in COVID-19 cases were also witnessed in Dadar and Mahim area where 91 and 130 people contracted the infectious disease.
