A new chapter began in Mumbai’ Railway Service as the first ever Air Conditioned local train was flagged off this morning from Borivali station in Mumbai today. The commuters were eagarly waiting for the Air Conditioned local service for the past few years and their dream finally came into reality today.
BJP MP Gopal Shetty, state Education Minister Vinod Tawde, Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar were present on the occasion. The AC local will initially run only in the Churchgate-Borivili section. From January 1, it will run from Churchgate to Virar having 12 services per day.
