hari-ranjan-raoWith a view to make Madhya Pradesh a year-round destination, the three-day 3rd edition of Travel Mart is being organised in Bhopal from October 14 with the theme See Madhya Pradesh in a New Avatar which is highlighting the diversity of the state in a new light.

Over 70 international buyers from 25 countries and about 80 representatives of distinct Indian markets are expected to take part in the meet being inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The business –to- business exhibition will be attended by representatives from heritage hotels, conference venues, tour operators and wildlife parks as well as by international buyers from Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, USA, Australia, South Africa and Canada.

Talking to Indian Awaaz, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director, Hari Ranjan Rao, said the goal is to ensure each participant whether it is the exhibitor, buyer or visitor, gets value for their investment and time spent.

There will also be post event FAM tours for the buyers and media to places of interest such as Mandu, Sanchi, Kanha and Pench which will be organised by the MPSTDC, said Mr Rao who is also secretary to the Chief Minister.

He said the state, famous as heartland of the country having three world heritage sites, is capable to attract tourists who are in search of something new. There is so much to offer. The main objective is to apprise participants about state’s religious places having historic, art and cultural heritage, forest wealth and immense natural beauty, he added.
