Prime Minister Narendra Modi today rolled out the red carpet for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who will be visiting Gujarat from tomorrow, saying he looked forward to welcoming him to his home state.

‘India truly values relationship with Japan and we look forward to further boosting our bilateral ties in a wide range of sectors,’ Mr Modi tweeted in his micro blogging site ahead of his Japanese counterpart’s visit.

‘I look forward to welcoming PM @AbeShinzo. I will be hosting him in Gujarat in our fourth annual summit together,’ the PM wrote. Grand preparations are being made for the Japanese Prime Minister’s visit to Gujarat where for the first time Mr Modi and Mr Abe will take part in a road show in Ahmedabad. During his visit, Mr Abe will sign an agreement for building the high profile Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project which is due to be completed by 2023-end.
