Congress party today charged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s led NDA Governmet of failing to deliver on all parmeters in the 40 months of its rule at the Centre.
Talking to media persons here, AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari said, ‘the success of any government can be judged based on the parameters like social harmony, internal security, economic system and diplomacy. However, on all these yardsticks, Modi government has proved to be a failure.
There is an ‘undeclared emergency’ like situation in the the country under the Modi government. Also, for the BJP, the Prime Minister’s speeches are the last word in governance. However, the essence of the 40 months of its rule is that the NDA Goverment under PM Modi does not know how to govern.’ Mr Tewari said in the last 40 months of this Government, social harmony has been destroyed.
‘There have been a continuous attack on the federal structure. The internal security is in shambles while the Indian economy has totally crashed. This government has failed to handle the situation of Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast and Naxal affected areas. Similarly, the government has failed on the diplomatic front.
On the one hand, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj attacks Pakistan to be on the UN platform, the Prime Minister makes a sudden visit to attend the marriage of Pakistan Prime Minister’s kin,’Mr Tewari said. On the BJP claims that there has been no corruption during the NDA rule at the centre, he said, ‘demonetisation has been the biggest scam.
The implementation of the GST has been flawed.’ Accusing the Government of failing to go beyond rhetoric, he said, ‘no measures have been taken by this Government in the last 40 months to provide relief to the common man.
