Two government offices have been set ablaze in Manipur today, police sources said, informing that the Deputy Commissioner(DC)’s office of the newly created Kamjong revenue district was set ablaze by unknown miscreants early this morning.
The makeshift office of the DC is located at the Sub-Division Office of Kamjong. The sub-divisional office buildings were damaged about 80 percent in the incident.
The Mini Secretariat office of Ukhrul District was also set ablaze by unknown miscreants in which the District Child Protection Unit Office on its first floor was damaged partially.
Ukhrul and Kamjong District administrations have beefed up security measures in view of the unwanted incidents. Two different cases have been registered one each at Kamjong and Ukhrul Police Stations and are now under investigation.
