Ruling Peoples Democratic Party’s district president of South Kashmir’s Pulwama, Advocate Abdul Gani Dar succumbed to his injuries in the Srinagar hospital.
Unknown gunmen intercepted his vehicle at Kundipora Kakapora Pinglina area in Pulwama around 1 p.m. today and shot at him from close range while he was on way to Srinagar.
A police official told media that one bullet was pumped into his chest and another hit his arm. He was rushed to Srinagar SMHS hospital in a critical condition where he succumbed to injuries. No organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack.
