BSP Chief Mayawati has questioned UP government’s decision to waiving of farmer’s agricultural loan up to one lakh rupees terming it as a cheating of the people. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Ms. Mayawati said the BJP had promised to waive the entire loans of farmers but it announced loan waiver only up to one lakh rupees. She said the government has also not given the time line.
