The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 73,961.31, up 75.71 points or 0.1 per cent. Halting the five-day losing streak, NSE Nifty 50 went up by 42.05 points or 0.19 per cent to settle at 22,530.7.
The Domestic Benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty snapped its five days fall and ended in green on Friday amid mixed Global cues.
The BSE Sensex added 75 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 73,961. The NSE Nifty was up 42 points, or 0.19 percent, to 22,531 at the closing bell.
In the Global Crude Market, Brent Crude is trading at 81.46 Dollars per Barrel, WTI Crude is trading at 77.87 Dollars per Barrel, when reports last came in.
In the Global Commodity Exchange, for 5th June 2024 Contract, Gold is trading at 72,100 rupees per 10 grams, Silver, for 5th July 2024 contract, is trading at 93,776 rupees per kg, when reports last came in.
Among the Nifty companies, 26 stocks were advancing while 24 stocks were declining. From the Nifty 50 basket, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Shriram Finance, Coal India, and Tata Motors Steel were the major gainers. On the contrary, Divi’s, Nestle India, LTI Mindtree, Dr Reddy, and Maruti were among the laggards.
Global Market
World shares were mixed on Friday after an official survey showed Chinese factory activity weakening in May on slowing export orders. US futures were little changed and oil prices slipped ahead of an OPEC meeting this weekend.
