
more than 50 people were injured and over 1,500 taken to shelters after a 5.4-magnitude quake hit the southeastern port of Pohang in South Korea, yesterday.
The safety ministry said in a statement today that the quake, which was felt across the country including in the capital Seoul, damaged nearly 1,100 homes and more than 100 schools.
The Ministry said no deaths had been reported. It also said, Roads and public and military facilities were also damaged. The South Korean government has put off the nationwide college entrance examination by a week due to yesterdays’ quake.
