This was announced by Mamta Bannerjee after her first cabinet meeting this evening in here after assuming office. Banerjee however said that said that her government will welcome TATA Group if they agree to set up car factory in remaining 600 acres of land.

She said that restoration of peace in the state is her first priority and instructed the administration to work on top priority to recover illegal arms. The state cabinet had also decided to set up a review committee for release of political prisoners.

Banerjee also advocated for resolving the ongoing problems in Darjeeling hill and Jungle Mahal.  She announced special development package for the region she said that Government is ready for talk with any group currently agitating in Jungle Mahal.

She said the  state cabinet has also decided to set up a separate Ministry for speedy implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme and effective distribution of BPL cards.
