In a major setback for the Samajwadi Party in Maharashtra, the MLA from Bhiwandi East Rais Shaikh resigned as MLA yesterday. Rais Shaikh said that he had consistently raised his concerns with the party over the past year. He added that despite his persistent efforts, his issues were not resolved.
