Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that in the wake of a new variant of the Corona- Omicorn found in South Africa, a request letter has been sent to the Center along with a letter from the Mumbai Municipal Commissioner to stop the flights coming from the country.

Speaking to reporters in Jalna today, He informed that the state government is taking every precaution to curb the new variant of the Corona. He added that outpatients are currently being monitored at the airport and swipe testing and screening is underway.

Speaking about reopening of primary schools in the state, Mr.Tope said that it was decided to start schools from 1st December.
