In a fresh troubles for Nestle over safety standards of its famous Maggi noodle brand, the Uttarakhand Food Safety Department has collected samples of noodles from the company’s Pant Nagar plant and other places in the state, including state capital Dehradun.
The samples have been sent to the state government laboratories for tests. The company is already facing problems in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, where the Food Safety and Drug Administration had found higher than permitted levels of mono sodium glutamate and lead in Maggi samples in the tests.
Nestle India however disputed the claim, saying the company did not agree with the order and will file the representations with the authorities.
