Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 PM today following uproarious scenes by opposition Congress members who demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks against former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh during the recent Assembly elections.
As soon as the House met for the day, Mallikarjun Khadge of the Congress raised the issue. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan refused to allow the matter saying that the election process is over and results have also been announced.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the Chair’s ruling, the agitating Congress members trooped into the well of the House raising slogans against Prime Minister. Following the continued uproar, Speaker adjourned the House till Noon.
